My mother was a resident at Mom's Place for 2 ½ years. We realized we could no longer take care of Mom in our home so it was a very emotional decision to place my mother into a residential care home. We could not have made a better choice than Mom's Place. You helped us make informed decisions and gave us the needed confidence that we were doing the right thing. The low ratio of staff to resident assured us that Mom would get lots of personal contact and care. 

During the last few weeks of her life, Mom needed extra attention and the house staff amply supplied it. We needed support for ourselves and Jackie was there to provide it with sound advice and an explanation of all the options. My wife and I owe a great deal more than we can ever repay to the whole Mom's Place family.

In my capacity as a professional probate conservator and a professional geriatric care manager I have placed hundreds of older adults in residential care facilities. None received better treatment than the two I placed last year in Mom's Place homes.

I was particularly impressed by the following:

• the physical plants of each home were beautiful
• the homes were always clean and well maintained
• the homes were modified to provide maximum safety
• daily attention was given to personal hygiene and medical well being of each resident
• daily attention was given to the emotional and spiritual needs of each resident
• residents were treated as individuals
• individual preferences were accommodated
• staff were well trained
• staffing ratios were 1:2 staff worked effectively with other professionals
• staff were excellent advocates for residents
• family members were extremely satisfied with the care given their loved ones
• visitors were always welcome

Mom's Place provided my clients with a safe physical and emotional environment. They were loved and well cared for from the day of arrival to the final parting. Mom's Place offered these adults in decline a haven and their family members peace of mind.

I hope to see you tomorrow at Russ's Memorial Service. Please sit in the family section with us, as without a doubt, you became part of Russ and I during his "almost" year with you at Mom's Place. I also want Florence, John, and any of the staff who attends to honor us by joining the family.
